A few things to say

If we never leave our comfort zone, how will we find what's out there?

Pamplona

January 23rd, 2016

Today was a great day to explore the Navarra province of Spain, specifically San Miguel de Aralar ( a huge sanctuary located on a mountain overlooking  Navarra).  Having spent nearly 4 months here in Pais Vasco, I had never been to this region, and wanted to check it out.

We followed a windy mountain pass that eventually led us to the old Sanctuary which was built in the 18th century.  Pretty impressive for something to be built that high up, that long ago. Travelers tip: they have a cafeteria/bar in side that serves hot cider and chorizo, win!

After that we  headed to Pamplona, which was also amazing.  Just walking the streets where the bulls stampede down during San Fermín…seeing where Hemingway traveled, and viewing the old city walls was like stepping into the past while also seiing a modern vibrant city.

Until next time,
